About Us

Integrity engineering, delivered by people who have held the responsibility

Pundit Enterprise Ltd is an independent Asset Integrity Management consultancy based in Aberdeen, Scotland. We help operators and duty holders keep their static pressure equipment, structures, pressure relieving devices and pipelines legally compliant and available while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Our consultancy is built on more than two decades of front-line asset integrity management experience — including duty as Pressure Systems Equipment Owner and Major Accident Hazard Barrier holder on producing assets. Our consultants have managed a wide variety of asset portfolios: FPSOs, offshore fixed platforms, central processing facilities, onshore refineries, LNG plants, tank farms and pipelines. We have developed the AIM frameworks, written the strategies and procedures, run the programmes, managed the vendors, held the budgets and answered to the regulators — so the advice we give is advice we have had to live with ourselves.

We work across the whole asset lifecycle — Greenfield and Brownfield Integrity and Maintenance Build during EPC, day-to-day integrity management through operational life, and remaining-life, life-extension and cessation-of-production support at the end. Engagements range from a focused technical study to embedded, long-term integrity leadership within your team.

Our services have been delivered on assets and projects across the United Kingdom, Angola, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Egypt, Mozambique and Australia — for operators and service companies alike.

Our Core Strength

Corrosion Management

Corrosion is the single biggest threat to ageing oil and gas assets worldwide — and this is the discipline where we have delivered some of our hardest-won results. Whether it is reinstating biocide control to arrest microbiological corrosion on a live FPSO, rationalising corrosion circuits across an operator's entire platform fleet, or authoring the corrosion control strategy and selecting materials for a new-build LNG plant — we have been there, done that.

Strategy & Systems

Corrosion control strategy development including KPIs, defining corrosion management systems and Integrity Operating Windows based on real-time process conditions and API 571 damage mechanisms.

Monitoring & Control

Corrosion probes, coupons and sampling regimes; chemical treatment and biocide programmes with KPIs that flag non-compliance before it becomes a leak; cathodic protection monitoring.

MIC Remediation

Microbiologically induced corrosion diagnosis and remediation on marine and produced-water systems — bacteria analysis, appropriate biocide selection and dosing, targeted area inspection, low-remaining-life anomaly identification and repair prioritisation to prevent LOPC.

CUI Programmes

Corrosion-under-insulation preventive strategy development, inspection campaign execution and CUI databases to manage the threat — from refinery-wide CUI programmes to offshore CUI management on operating FPSOs and fixed platforms, in the UK, Middle East and Africa.

Authoritative Review

Review and rationalisation of corrosion circuits, equipment inspection and sampling data to confirm the validity of degradation mechanisms — and adjust them accordingly, rather than following a pre-defined assessment set.

Material Selection

Materials selection studies for FEED and brownfield modifications, benefit optimisation of corrosion-resistant alloy vs carbon steel, erosion-resistant design upgrades, and cryogenic service and non-metallic material feasibility studies.

Fabric Maintenance

External and internal corrosion resistant coating and fabric maintenance, high temperature and cryogenic system related coating feasibility assessment, heat conservation and acoustic insulation management including personnel protective cages.

Severely corroded valve and flange assembly
A heavily corroded valve assembly beyond repair state due to unmanaged external corrosion prevention.
Water spraying from a flanged pipe joint
Loss of containment from flanged neck weld joint due to internal preferential weld corrosion.
Pressure vessel with perforated cladding and missing insulation
Missing insulation on pipework, a clear pathway for water/moisture ingress and typical Corrosion Under Insulation scenario.
Our Core Strength

Risk Based Assessment

The severity of the risk should direct the inspection programme — identifying potential hazards so they can be prevented from happening, and that is where we come in. We build, refresh and facilitate RBA programmes to API 580 and 581: a fully quantitative approach where the data is available, semi-quantitative and qualitative where data is limited. The outcome is not a report for the shelf but a set of Written Schemes of Examination, with defined inspection frequencies and acceptance–rejection criteria embedded. And our AI-powered tool saves a significant amount of time on your RBA refresh programmes — without compromising on safety.

The critical path of a living RBA programme — every inspection finding feeds back into the risk ranking. No programme in place yet? We build the baseline, methodology and initial assessment first, then run the loop.

RBI Programmes

Full risk-based inspection programme design and implementation — damage mechanism identification, consequence and probability mapping, risk ranking and inspection planning.

Programme Optimisation

Inspection programme optimisation by RBA evergreening and risk ranking updates, removing low-value scope to focus inspection where the risk actually is. Proven efficiency gains by schedule smoothing.

RBA Facilitation

We chair and facilitate multidisciplinary RBA sessions — bringing operations, inspection, corrosion and process knowledge into one room and steering it to defensible, recorded decisions.

Schemes & Compliance

Written Schemes of Examination, PSSR compliance and performance standards for major accident hazard barriers — the statutory backbone your RBA programme has to satisfy.

Our Core Strength

Asset Life Extension

Most of the world's producing assets are past their design life. We help you demonstrate — to yourself and to the regulator — that continued operation is safe, and we plan the inspection and repair investment that gets the asset to its real end date and no further.

Heavily corroded pipe spool removed from service
A heavily corroded spool removed from a late-life asset — the kind of equipment life-extension decisions are made about.

Remaining Life Assessment

Data-driven remaining life studies across corrosion, inspection and process records — including a six-month whole-asset assessment steering a producing FPSO towards cessation of production.

Fitness for Service

FFS assessments to API 579 for vessels, piping and tanks, and pipeline defect assessment to DNV RP-F101 and PDAM — keeping degraded equipment working, justifiably.

Life Extension Studies

Life extension and fitness-for-continued-service programmes: reassessment of anomalies, revalidation against current codes and targeted inspection to close the evidence gaps.

Cessation of Production

Late-life integrity planning that channels limited resource to the most vulnerable systems — so the asset stays safe and available right up to the planned end.

Our Core Strength

AI-Enabled Integrity

We use modern AI and data tools to make integrity work faster, sharper and cheaper — not as a gimmick, but where they genuinely move the needle: digesting decades of inspection data, automating the repetitive engineering legwork, and building custom tools around your specific integrity problem.

Hull survey image with digital anomaly markers
A remote hull survey with digitally annotated findings — inspection results as a navigable data record, not a filing cabinet.

Custom Tool Development

Bespoke tools built around a specific integrity issue — a corrosion trending dashboard, an anomaly triage assistant, a workpack generator — shaped to your data and your procedures, not the other way round.

Data Intelligence

AI-assisted analysis of large inspection and corrosion datasets to surface the vulnerable systems, trends and outliers a manual review would take months to find.

Digital Twins & 3D

Inspection digital twins built from 3D models — baseline scopes, written schemes and inspection points navigable in the model rather than buried in spreadsheets.

CMMS & Data Quality

Automated cleansing, validation and migration of integrity data between CMMS platforms — Nexus, Maximo, SAP and more — so the system you rely on tells the truth.

Services

Services across the asset lifecycle

Our services follow the life of the asset — from the day it is designed to the day it stops producing. Wherever your asset is on that journey, there is a natural place for us to step in.

How We Work

Three ways to engage us

Every engagement starts the same way — a conversation about your asset, at no cost. From there, work takes one of three shapes, sized to the problem rather than to a standard contract.

Typically 2 – 8 weeks

Focused Technical Study

A single question, answered with engineering rigour and a clear written recommendation. Fixed scope agreed up front, so you know exactly what you are buying.

For example: a fitness-for-service assessment on a degraded vessel, a corrosion study on a problem system, a risk assessment refresh on a critical circuit, or a remaining-life review ahead of an investment decision.

Typically 2 – 12 months

Defined-Scope Project

A programme of work with agreed deliverables, milestones and budget — delivered independently or alongside your team, with progress you can see.

For example: a CUI inspection strategy and campaign, an RBI programme implementation, an integrity build package for a greenfield or brownfield project, or a CMMS data migration with quality assurance.

6 months +

Embedded Integrity Support

Long-term integrity leadership inside your organisation — carrying real accountability, not just advice, and building capability in your team as we go.

For example: pressure systems integrity engineer for an operating asset, deputy team lead for an integrity services contract, or integrity focal point between onshore and offshore.

1

Conversation

Tell us about the asset and the problem. First discussion is free and confidential.

2

Proposal

A short written proposal — scope, deliverables, timeline and cost. No obligation.

3

Delivery

Work delivered against the agreed scope, with regular checkpoints along the way.

4

Handover

Deliverables, data and know-how handed to your team — we aim to leave you more capable, not dependent.

Not sure which shape fits? Start the conversation and we will tell you honestly — including if you don't need a consultant at all.

Azule Energy · Greater Plutonio FPSO, Angola

Half the technicians, a fuller programme

After transition of operatorship, offshore inspection technician resource was cut by 50% — putting the inspection programme, and especially rope-access scopes, at risk. We re-ranked the programme by risk, removed low-value and non-safety-critical scope, and rebuilt three consecutive annual programmes around the reduced crew.

Arresting legacy MIC corrosion

Years without biocide dosing left the marine and produced-water systems with microbiologically influenced corrosion that had begun to show as loss-of-containment events. We led a cross-discipline remediation programme — dosing reinstatement, KPI monitoring, focused inspection on the vulnerable systems and prioritised repairs.

Corrosion circuits that earn their keep

Corrosion circuits across the operator's platform fleet had grown organically for years — overlapping in places, blind in others. We reviewed and rationalised the circuits across every platform, and developed and implemented a fleet-wide corrosion-under-insulation inspection strategy.

Corrosion strategy for a plant not yet built

A two-train greenfield LNG plant approaching start-up readiness needed its medium- and long-term inspection and corrosion management planned before first gas. We authored the Corrosion Control Strategy, supervised the corrosion and Integrity Operating Windows studies, and commissioned the plant's inspection digital twin from the 3D model.

Emergency response to a site-wide failure

During commissioning, stainless steel pipework failed across the site — untreated seawater had been used for pressure testing. We prepared and delivered the inspection workpacks that let the site team find and fix the damage without derailing start-up.

EnQuest · Northern Producer FPSO

An anomaly backlog cut by 60%

The asset carried a large inherited list of live anomalies — each one driving monitoring, inspection and shutdown scope. Through site verification and reassessment against the anomaly procedure, we retired the false entries and revalidated the rest with fitness-for-continued-service assessments.

Doubling the life of erosive-service pipework

Catalyst carrier pipework in the FCC unit was failing every six months, threatening crude processing availability. We redesigned the circuit from swept bends to a refractory tee design with erosion-resistant boride coating at critical junctions.

Regulator's audit actions closed out

The HSE's KP4 ageing-assets audit set demanding requirements across three platforms and two offshore wind turbines. We updated the risk assessments on all corrosion loops and pressure vessels, cleansed the critical damage and repair registers through site visits, and closed the actions out.
